Frequently Asked Questions
How can I make a request?
Because most of the music on 101.5 LITE FM is pre-scheduled, we generally don’t take requests or dedications. But you can call the studio at 1-800-469-1015 and ask the announcer to check ahead to see if your song is coming up soon.
Who sings that song I heard?
First, you can click here to find a list of the songs played in the past seven days. If you're still not sure what you heard, please make a note of the date and time you heard the song -- include any lyrics or additional info that might help us identify it -- and e-mail our Program Director, Rob Sidney.
Why do you play certain songs and artists more frequently than others?
Like most radio stations, 101.5 LITE FM conducts regular research on our audience’s musical tastes. Those songs and artists which the majority of the audience likes the most, you’ll hear more often on LITE FM. We’re always open to your suggestions; feel free to e-mail comments and questions to our Program Director, Rob Sidney, or Music Director Gayle Garton.
How long does it take to get a winner for your call-in contests?
We start taking calls on our studio lines (1-800-469-1015) once we've asked for you to start dialing, answering calls received in order from number one through number ten. Generally, we get the winning caller (#10) within a minute after asking for calls.
What’s the phone number (or website address) in that commercial I heard?
Make a note of the time you heard the commercial and give us a call at 1-866-914-1015 as soon as possible; if it’s the same day, we’ll be able to review the program log and listen back to the commercial with you over the phone. If you call us a few days later, it might be a little tougher to figure out what commercial you heard -- but we’ll do our best!
I heard an announcement about a community event; can you tell me more?
Make a note of the time you heard the announcement and give us a call at 1-866-914-1015 as soon as possible. We keep a list of all community service announcements we’ve broadcast over the preceding few weeks. You can also get more information on recent announcements here.
How can I get my non-profit organization’s announcement on LITE FM?
Most of the community service announcements you hear on 101.5 LITE FM deal with women's, children’s and family issues. Please send complete information (including a contact phone number) at least three weeks in advance of your event to Gayle Garton, 101.5 LITE FM, 20450 N.W. Second Ave., Miami, FL 33169-2505. Or you can e-mail the info to Gayle. Because of the large volume of requests, we can't guarantee air time for every notice we receive.
