Nature has been good to us in South Florida so far this hurricane season. Not so kind in other areas of the country.
The pictures of the flooding in Colorado are astonishing. The water in the streets is rushing like you would expect water going over falls. Bridges are washed out, communities are separated from each other. The Red Cross is already responding, but they can't do it alone. They will need our help.
Then there's the horrific fire at the Jersey Shore. The same area that was devastated by Superstorm Sandy last year. The area that was rebuilt and re-opened just this past Memorial weekend. Nature takes no blame for starting the fire in a frozen-custard stand on the Seaside Park portion of the boardwalk - the cause is still under investigastion.
