  • I need a Housecat Housecall!
    Posted 6/16/2009 8:00:00 PM
Well, I've just driven 800-plus miles with my Dad and 3 cats in the car. If only I'd been able to postpone my trip until after the June 27th episode of Housecat Housecall on Animal Planet. That's the one where they visit Kerri Kasem (yes, daughter of legendary 'American Top 40' radio host, Casey Kasem), and show her how to put her cat, Kid D, in a harness. I could definitely have used the help getting Manny (above), Murray and Sidney into their carriers.

I know, you look at that face and think, 'How could he possibly be any trouble?'. But he and Murray must have some tiger or cougar or cheetah in them, because they're GIANT. Not even fat - just big. And heavy. And not pleased to be in cages.

I did take some of Kerri's advice on using treats to persuade cats to do as you wish, and it definitely helped.

You can listen to the interview with Kerri and her issues with Kid D here. Or just watch her episode of Housecat Housecall on Animal Planet June 27th.

The kitties send meows to all!
