That IS what Halloween is all about, isn't it? Gotta love the buckets of delicious, mood-enhancing candy! Of course, with children out on the streets, wearing costumes that may block their vision, or be uncomfortable, or give them the anonymity to feel like they can adventure more than usual, some safety guidelines can't hurt.
The CDC has created an acronym for SAFE HALLOWEEN that helps to remember things like Swords should be short, soft and flexible; Avoice trick-or-treating alone; Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags; Examine all treats for choking hazards and tampering.
Here's the rest of the SAFE HALLOWEEN guide.
Have fun tonight, and be sure to take lots of pictures!
