Good sleep every day

Sunday morning we turn the clocks back to Eastern Standard Time, regaining the hour we gave up in March. Everyone I've spoken to (including me!) is excited about the extra hour of sleep we get. I haven't heard anyone say, "Yay, we get to exercise for an extra hour!!". This enthusiasm for one hour of sleep indicates to me that we're a Sleep-Deprived Nation. Although I'm no medical expert, I'd go out on a limb and say that sleep deprivation is a pandemic!
So to help us sleep better, we got some advice from Sleep Expert, Pete Bils (no really, he's the Vice President of Sleep Innovation and Clinical Research at Sleep Number).
Here are some of his tips:
Turn off electronics at least an hour before bed
Keep the temperature cold
Be sure the bedroom is dark
Keep a to-do list so you don't 'ruminate' on things when you're trying to sleep
Stop drinking caffeine by 3 in the afternoon
Lavendar is great to help your mind and body relax
Try to keep a regular sleep schedule, even on weekends
Use the bed only for sleep and intimacy - no working, reading, eating, etc.
And still more, here.
