Trayvon Martin would have celebrated his 18th birthday this week.
Instead, his parents are remembering him at a Day of Remembrance Community Peace Walk and Forum. The event this Saturday will focus on "motivating youth on peaceful conflict resolutions instead of gun violence".
The family is getting star support. Jamie Foxx and Cedric the Entertainer are slated to attend the walk, hosted by the Justice for Trayvon Martin Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by the teen's family.
The Day of Remembrance Community Peace Walk and Forum begins at 10 a.m. at Ives Estates Park on N.E 16th Avenue, north of Ives Dairy Road in North Miami.
