Hug til you're happy!

Hugs are good for you. Emotionally, spiritually, and yes, physically. Scientifically proven.
Hugs are good for relationships, whether they're romantic, with friends or with family members.
What's the first thing you do after a fight? Hug someone. Suddenly you forget what you were fighting about.
How do you comfort a child? Hug them. See the tears dry up.
Haven't seen your sister in months? You can feel the time dissolve as you hug hello.
Hugs reduce your stress level. Sure it's not the first thing you think to do when you're angry after you've been reprimanded at work, or when you've been stuck in traffic for hours. But try it. Hugs increase your levels of oxytocin, the hormone that makes you feel calmer and less anxious.
Hugs are also shown to lower blood pressure. Since high blood pressure is one of the key risk factors for heart disease, hugging is a wonderful - FREE - way to reduce your risk, no appointment necessary!
I don't know if this picture lists the scientifically proven number of hugs we need a day, but it sounds like a great goal anyway! Need to share this with someone? It's also on our Facebook page, LiteMiami.
