Healthcare - Affordable & Indecipherable?

The Affordable Care Act goes into effect at midnight tonight and all Americans will be required to carry health insurance.
There's been so much commentary about the ACA, both pro and con. Not having read the thousands of pages that comprise the bill, I can't speak to how well it will work; but with 55 million Americans uninsured, I can only hope it turns out to be successful and truly 'affordable'.
At the moment, what the ACA is mostly, is confusing. Since I'm a believer in 'going to the source' when you want correct information, here's the official website: https://www.healthcare.gov/.
The first thing you see when you go there is that the enrollment period begins tomorrow, October 1st. Coverage begins January 1st. Open enrollment ends March 31st. Beyond that, you'll need to go through the site to find the programs and coverage that work best for you.
If you want some reliable assistance on sorting through the specifics of the Affordable Care Act, Miami Dade College is hosting a series of Affordable Care Act workshops on November 7th, November 16th adn November 23rd. the workshops are free, but space is limited.
