Furry Fursday: Meet Pip!

October 20, 2017

Meet Pip!

This 5-month-old Terrier mix is a fun loving pup looking for the special humans who will love him forever. A friendly boy with a lively personality, Pip is interested in everything around him and loves to explore and seek out new friends and objects to play with. In the park, you might find Pip speedily chasing after a ball or making great leaps with seemingly endless energy. After some high-speed races, this guy mellows out and is content to receive some loving from his human while he tries to cover you in kisses. Every day is an adventure to Pip, and with him by your side you will start to see that it really is the little things that make life so magical. Come in to the Soffer and Fine Adoption Center today and spend some time with Pip in the park; you will definitely leave with a smile on your face and maybe, a best friend by your side.

Volunteer Program

As a private, not-for-profit, charitable animal welfare organization, the Humane Society of Greater Miami relies on the community to help them fulfill their mission of finding a loving home for all the dogs and cats in our care and promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs. From in-shelter support, to at-home foster care, volunteers are needed in every part of the work they do.

The Volunteer Program has been revamped and recharged for optimal life-saving potential and they are now inviting all friends with a soft spot for animals to join their team! The new and improved program will match each volunteer with daily/weekly tasks in areas of organization that interest them the most. These areas can include taking dogs for walks, socializing cats, grooming pets, helping with events and outreaches, and many more!

Volunteers help make the world a more humane place for animals, and anyone interested can now easily fill out an application on the website at http://www.humanesocietymiami.org/programs/volunteer/ to get involved!
