Meet Rosie

Rosie is a 5 year old American Bulldog mix who was abandoned at our Miami-Dade County Community Spay Neuter Clinic in Cutler Bay. Rosie is an amazing pooch who suffered an unfortunate injury that left her jaw fractured and caused several of her front teeth to be pushed out of place. Thanks to the donations made to the Second Chance Fund, the shelter was able to take Rosie in for surgery to correct her jaw and remove her damaged teeth. She is now pain-free and ready to rock the world of her forever family! If you are looking for a sweet and affectionate doggie to have by your side, Rosie is you girl! Her hobbies include giving her human endless hugs and kisses and taking naps by the side of someone loving and warm. She is a simple girl with few needs and so much love to give.

Second Chance Fund

An important program for the organization is its Second Chance Fund Program. This fund was developed to pay for treatments and services that are above and beyond the standard preventive vaccines and medical care that every animal receives and for services that may not be available through our own clinics. Examples of ways the funds are used include treatment for heartworm and skin issues, X-rays, minor surgeries and even major surgeries. The Second Chance Fund gives supporters a way to share their love of animals in a very special way—by helping to nurse a pet back to health and give him a second chance in life.

Rosie’s jaw surgery is one example of a way a donation made to the Second Chance Fund can help a homeless pet in need!
