Sable is a 15 year old black cat who has found a new lease on life... to be the crossing guard at his nearby elementary school in Richland, Washington. Twice a day without fail for the past year, this cat shows up and sits on the corner, watches all the kids walk across the street and every now and then rubs on one of them. And they pet him back. How very adorable is that.
