Researchers have found kids who sleep longer behave better at school. It's no surprise for us parents, the more sleep the less cranky. But researchers say even just a half an hour extra of sleep each night can improve a child's alertness and emotions.

So how do we get our kids to bed earlier? Experts say start winding them down a half an hour before bedtime, by having a reading time or bath time.
