"maybe" to your kids. You really mean probably not. And when you say "we'll see," you mean never. I found a list of momisms that really rang true with me. Like when you tell your kids "Let's play the quiet game," you mean stop talking, my ears are bleeding.

Or when you say "Do you think that's a good idea," and you mean that's the worst idea ever.

And when you say "the dog loves you the most,' you really mean please feed the dog.

And when you say "I love you," you mean there is nothing on Earth I could love more! Amen to that.
