Posted 5/22/2013 2:40:00 PM

It's called Petcube! It's a way for you to check on your pets and even play with them while you're away at work. The device will be going on sale soon that lets you go online, tap into live video and sound, point the camera where you want and even talk with your pets and point a laser for your kitty cats to chase.

Good. Take 'em to the Humane Society of Greater Miami's Barks and Bubbles Doggie Wash Saturday, from 11-2. Your dogs will get treated to a nice bubble bath, then free nail polish, Paw-casso Paw prints and for you pet boutique specials, music, games and refreshments.

And if you have room in your heart for more, there will be adoptions too.

Merida is joining the Disney Princess lineup, but now she has had a make-over that makes her skinnier, sexier and more glamorous than her original spunky tomboyish self.

What a shame.

Check it out here.

Dogs are good for your heart

Posted 5/10/2013 2:10:00 PM

That's the word from the American Heart Association. Sure they can fill your heart with joy. But they also can help reduce your heart disease risk.  Studies have found just stroking a dog can lower your blood pressure. And of course walking a dog is good exercise that does a heart good. But it's not just dogs, researchers have found those with goats, fish and snakes get the benefits of pet ownership as well. Just walking them isn't as easy.
