Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus

The LITE FM Players (2008)

Categories:

In 1897, eight-year-old Virgina O'Hanlon wrote a letter to the editor of the New York Sun, asking if there really was a Santa Claus -- because so many of her friends had insisted he didn't exist. This is the famous reply published on the editorial page, written by Francis Church. Mr. Church rises above the simple question, and addresses the philosophical issues behind it. As Virginia's father told her, 'If you see it in The Sun, then it's so.'
